UK manufacturer of the most cost effective Warm Edge Technology, Edgetech has supplied its Super Spacer WET for the sealed units used in the Black Horse Hotel in Kent. The Inn and its on site Bed and Breakfast accommodation has benefited from a refurbishment programme over the last five years which included the updating of the timber windows in its 30 chalets – all of which use Super Spacer for improved energy efficiency and a more comfortable stay for guests. Mel Jones, Edgetech’s Business Development Manager for the area explains: “The refurbishment programme was carried out by local builder Artizan and the windows were supplied by Magnet. It’s great that Edgetech’s Super Spacer has been used for this project as not only can guests now benefit from improved energy efficiency, they can also benefit from the overall improved aesthetics of the windows. On projects that involve older properties like the Black Horse, ensuring the windows are in keeping with the rest of the building is essential. Edgetech works with timber window companies nationwide to do just this. The Black Horse Inn near Maidstone in Kent dates back to the 18th Century and the thirty en-suite bed and breakfast rooms are located in a separate annex.
