Four Pillars: Community

At Edgetech, community is hugely important to us.

We’re a proud part of our local community in Coventry and the East Midlands more generally, a community of businesses striving for excellence in fenestration, and a global community of organisations who want to drive innovation, sustainability and human wellbeing around the world.

We know we’re in a fortunate position to be a successful, long-standing business – and that’s why, wherever possible, we try and do our bit to support causes that mean a lot to us.

Supporting the local community

In recent years, this has included vital organisations in our local community.

Together with our owners, Quanex, we’ve raised money for Coventry foodbank, as well as donating hundreds of items to help people in need across the city.

We’ve also donated school supplies to Walsgrave Academy, a Coventry primary school.

Donating to causes around the world

Edgetech are proud to support organisations helping people across Britain and the wider world.

We’ve previously donated to Macmillan Cancer Research, helped raise funds for Hope House Children’s Hospice, and contributed to the Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child campaign, which provides disadvantaged children with Christmas gifts.

Edgetech employees have also been given time off to volunteer at their local Operation Christmas Child processing centre, helping pack and ship gift boxes to recipients all around the world.

Quanex giving back

Meanwhile, the Quanex Foundation donates hundreds of thousands of dollars every year to charitable causes across America. It provides tens of thousands of dollars to local foodbanks, and has made sizeable donations to the Barbara Bush Literacy Foundation. As well as Edgetech UK, its operation in Germany also frequently donates to German charities.

The Foundation matches employee gifts to qualifying charities on a dollar-for-dollar basis up to $5,000 per employee each year. It has a dedicated online portal for matching gifts, and, in 2021, saw matching gifts increase more than five times when compared to the fiscal year 2020.

In the years ahead, Edgetech, and the wider Quanex family, will continue striving to support worthy causes around the world.
