As it settles into the final quarter financial year, Edgetech, a Quanex company, continues to report an increasing number of sealed unit manufacturers switching to its Super Spacer Warm Edge spacer technology from other Warm Edge suppliers. Leamore Windows in Walsall is the latest company to make the switch. Gary Hatchett Managing Director of the fabricator-installer explains why: We were already using one type of Warm Edge Technology spacer to improve the energy efficiency of our sealed units, but then discovered the difference between different types of WET. Not only does Super Spacer outperform the previous technology with its energy performance, it also significantly improves productivity. Using Super Spacer means you don’t need to cut and key or apply desiccant – in fact overall it halves the amount of processes needed to manufacture each unit, so it’s a much quicker system to use. We have also signed up to Edgetech’s Super Spacer Dealership Network to make sure we maximise the marketing and sales opportunities the product has to offer.
